Btween Privacy Policy

1. What data we process

1.1. Account data

• Email is processed as an account identifier for sign-in, access recovery, security notifications, and service messages where applicable.

1.2. Calendar and event data

• Event data: date/time, titles, descriptions, notes, reminders, status, and other fields you fill in.
• Shared/group calendar data: invitations, participant lists, access rights/roles where implemented, and participant actions in a calendar.

Important: you decide what information you add to events. Do not add sensitive information to a calendar if you do not want it stored in the service.

1.3. Technical data

We may process the minimum technical data necessary for the App to work and remain secure:

• OS and App version, language, time zone;
• crash/error information, such as crash reports and diagnostic events.

2. Purposes of data processing

We process data to:

1. provide App functionality, including creating/storing calendars and events, synchronization, and shared access;
2. provide authorization and security, including account management, abuse prevention, and access recovery;
3. support users, including replies to requests and troubleshooting;
4. improve App quality, including error diagnostics and stability improvements.

3. Legal bases for processing

Legal bases include:

• performance of an agreement with the user (the User Agreement) to provide the service;
• user consent where required, for example for certain notification types if introduced;
• legitimate interests, including security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and quality improvements;
• compliance with legal requirements where applicable.

4. Shared and group calendars

4.1. When you grant access to a calendar, you understand that calendar participants can see and/or edit data within the rights granted to them.

4.2. If you add third-party data to events, you confirm that you have a lawful basis to place that data and share it with calendar participants.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell user data.

Data may be shared with:

• infrastructure providers, such as hosting, servers, databases, and email services for service emails where used, strictly to ensure App operation;
• authorized authorities where required by law.

6. Where data is processed and stored

Data is processed and stored on dedicated servers/infrastructure used by the Operator to operate the App.

Processing and storage may take place on servers and infrastructure used to operate the App to the extent necessary to provide App functionality, security, and stable operation.

7. Retention periods

7.1. We store data while your account exists and the data is needed to provide App functionality.

7.2. After account deletion, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless otherwise required by law.

7.3. Backups may be retained for a limited time until they are overwritten.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational protection measures, including access restrictions, encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), and abuse-prevention measures.

9. Your rights

You can:

• request access to data related to your account;
• correct data in the App;
• delete your account and related data within legal limits.

10. Children's privacy

Btween is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact support and we will review the request.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The new version is published at https://btween.echodelta.online/en/privacy/ and/or in the App and takes effect on the publication date unless stated otherwise.
